I have a 60's car and the original fuel tank is almost rusted away and most likely has lead gas in it. So I'm wandering would a fuel cell be a good idea? Also how they work? What else would I need besides the fuel cell?
I was also wondering this. Why not create a mixture, that instead of being at 78K, why not warm it up to, I don't know, around 300K, that way it wouldn't be too cold, but cold enough to cool More H20 to a More reasonable temperature.

A fuel cell is usually a special sort of a gas tank intended for racing. They will often have an internal bladder so if the outside is damaged it wont leak. They will also have special valves so they wont leak if the car flips. Some have provisions for electric fuel pumps. Some have the options for quick filling. 16 gallons is not going to get you that far in a 60's car. For a 60's car your best option unless its a rat rod sort of custom project would be to stay with the original tank. When I buy an old car I just drain the tank and see what it looks like. If it pretty much looks and smells like gas then I just put new gas in and see what happens. I will usually install a clear inline fuel filter in the line just so I can see how much crap is there. If what you get out of the tank is nasty rusty crud then look for a local radiator shop. They can clean and often repair them. If its too far gone you can send it off to a company that coats it inside and out with a spray on material that basically seals it. Its not cheap but if no one makes a new tank or you cant find a used tank for your car its the only way to go. Getting rid of lead gas is the same as any other, just check with your county and find out where to take it.
