Question:

Would I need a gold belly bar?

I‘m 14 almost 15 and I really want a belly piercing but with my ears I can only wear gold earrings, would it be the same with a belly bar?? Also how long would you need to clean it for, for it to be infection free??

Answer:

Well i also have sensitive ears but I just got my industrial pierced and they dont pierce it with gold or silver, apparently surgical steel works really well for people with sensitive skin because other metals like nickel and copper are the common metals that irritate the skin and surgical steel doesnt have any of those things, titanium also is good.
The engine is severely damaged due to fault of the dealer. You have perfect legal grounds to demand a new car, or that all damage be repaired free of charge. If they refuse you can sue, and most likely win.
You will not get a replacement car. They will repair any damage. That's all. This is at least partially your fault.
Well Lara sweetie, I'm afraid the same would apply for your belly button as it does for your ears. I can only wear REAL any kind of jewelry for my ears and my belly button. And the healing process of the belly button can take any time from 3-6 months. But everyone is different, it also depends on how healthy a diet you have, how often you exercise and how often you let the piercing 'breathe'. Try not to fuss with it if you don't have to. And hopefully your piercing will be healed up in no time. Good luck darling :)
Generally, if you are allergic to the 316LV stainless steel used in body piercing, you can use either titanium, which is inert, or 18-22 karat solid gold. The gold would have to be solid, all the way through, not plated. It would also have to be 18 karat, 20 karat, or 22 karat, 22 karat being the best option, since it's almost completely pure. 16 karat and below have too much silver, copper, and nickel mixed in. Gold plated jewelry is also not good, as the plating will rub off over time, exposing the cheap metal, usually nickel or pewter, underneath. Average healing times for a navel piercing is actually 6-12 months, not 3 to 6 months, as previous reply stated. This does vary with your own healing time, and how badly you abuse it, and clean it. You would need to keep it clean for 6-12 months, but as long as you do your saline soaks and your daily washing ritual, that's all you really need to do with it.
