Question:

Would it send a clear message to banks, and the Government if everyone who had their home forclosed on....?

Rented a bulldozer and turned their house into a pile of rubble?

Answer:

Wouldn't matter to me. The person who couldn't afford the house is the person at fault. The government urged the banks to allow bad loans, the banks offered a bad loan to the individual, and the individual either didn't read the loan agreement or signed something they shouldn't have. You liberals always point the finger except at a mirror. Just because the bank says &this is how much you can afford on a house& doesn't mean that's how much you go out and spend on a house. There's other costs called insurance (home, vehicle, life, health), vehicles, amenities, food, etc. Fiscal responsibility...
The banks wouldn't care Uncle Barry will cover their loss.
Actually that would be a huge boon for the economy in regards to construction companies, and workers. If we tear down all the foreclosed houses, then we can get people back to work lol..
I agree with the person who said that people should have gone into the loans knowing what they were doing. I feel bad, though. the government and the banks totally took advantage and made a ton of money off some people who weren't smart enough to read the fine print or who just didn't want to think about the future. I can't believe anyone actually gets an adjustable rate mortgage! Are they CRAZY? I would never get one of those in a million years. I would rather pay a slightly higher fixed rate then go for a lower ARM and then end up with an unbelievable rate 3 years later.
Why not just turn the bank into a pile of rubble? To me that'd be more gratifying.
