instead of packing foods in cans why don't we pack every thing in reusable plastic and recycle every thing we use with out the waste?
ya its a good idea because it is cheaper and cast will also be reduced which is good for costumer because they can get at low price then the old one...
plastic is great for many things , but it does not take the heat glass and tin can for food storage .
Cans are recycled. They can be made into more cans. Food grad plastics are not reused for food products.
Plastic can seep harmful chemicals into the product when it is exposed to sunlight (think a water bottle)... plastic is basically oil, and is carcinogenic. Everything should be in containers of steels, anyway, steel is far easier to reuse than plastic is. Glass is tough as I really hate breaking glass as it's a horrible thing to clean up in carpet.
Plastic have been used ever since it existed and I would still say that it is harmful especially to our environment because it takes years to decompose. Now, if you want cheaper used for packaging we have recycled bags of today which have been recommended to be used.
