Question:

Would the AMD Bulldozer be worth it?

I am planning on building my own gaming machine in the near future( next spring) and I want to know If I should buy a AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE or buy the AMD Bulldozer . Also how much will it cost because I don't want to spend more then a Sandy Bridge and plus I don't plan on doing anything besides downloading movies , browsing the web , gaming most modern games and some low key video editing . Thanks,-Will

Answer:

i5 2500k will do all that and then some. bulldozer is delayed again, they won't compete with intel. They tack on more cores to 'look' like they are competing. especially single threaded apps, intel demolishes.
neither get an i5 2500k it will last you a long time you can overclock and is perfect for gaming also since its made by item it will be less likely to fail www.amazon .uk/Intel-Sandybridge-i5-2500K-Quad-Core-Processor/dp/B004FA8NX2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8qid=1309056178sr=8-1 btw if its gaming you want to do then you will need a good gpu like this one www.scan .uk/products/1gb-evga-gtx-460-sscplusbackplate-3900mhz-gddr5-gpu-850mhz-shader-clock-1700mhz-336-coresplusmafia-i
hahaah, you don't need a quad core for gaming, let alone a bloody octo-core.
