Question:

Would there be fire drills in workhouses?

Around the 1810-1820's would there be such thing as a fire drill?

Answer:

Do a search on the Web for a freeware package called UltraVNC. It will allow you to remote control all of your computers. You just need the name or IP of the system you want to access once the software has been loaded. Only extra is if you're running a firewall you'll have to disable that specific port from being monitored.
Lightening rods fell out of use after TV became ubiquitous. TV antennas used to serve the same purpose, but most people don't have antennas anymore. Lightening rods do work and are cheap insurance. I left the TV antenna up after cable came to town for just that reason.
They would have to physically install a software like (e.g. team-viewer), initiate a active session in your absence, tweak the software when you come online so that you don't realize a session is in progressother examples are using active exploits so called vulnerabilities in the operating system for which frame work can be downloaded (e.gMetaexploit)knocking on ports to open a backdoor to your system. And last but not least Telneting into some of the well known active services (eg..SMB)
there's a free program i used a long time ago, it uses the IP address of the target computer, u have to install it on both systems, its called remote PC control, go to google and do a search for it good luck
I : The PC at your computer has to be connected to the internet at all times you control the PC. II : In Start- All Programs(NOTE:- Only in Win xp you can control remotely) click on Remote Assistance. Send an invite to your laptop (ie. your email id). Remote Assistance should be enabled to do this. TO ENABLE REMOTE ASSISTANCE: Right click My Computer - Properties GoTo the Remote Tab Check the box next to Allow Remote Assistance Click Apply Click OK Then connect your notebook to the net. Open ur mail. Accept the invite and control the damn comp. Both comp should be accessing the net at that moment!!!
