As part of your presentation to the customer, you need to include the cost of the new floor. The tile for the room is $4.00 per square foot and the tile for the square inset is $5.00 per square foot. For now, you are not including the cost of labor.
You need a pen and paper. Draw a diagram and put in the measurements. Now do the math.
This is not a Home Garden question. This is a math or homework question. It isn't even a question. It's a problem, and as it has been presented, it isn't entirely clear to me what solution is wanted. You don't know the area of the room so you can't say how much tile is needed and therefore can't possibly say how much it will cost.
