Question:

2015 Mustang Transmission Issues?

Hello, I m trying to identify a issue I ve encountered recently with my 2015 mustang v6 automatic transmission. I ve noticed a delayed engagement of gears from P to D that lasts a second or two it s most noticeable in the morning or after sitting a few hours. It has 22k miles on it just got it last week certified pre-owned from Ford dealership. Few people mentioned it could be the transmission Synchronizers (but so early in an auto tranny hard to believe), transmission fuel pump or transmission shift solenoid and I ve checked fluid levels wich are fine. Has anybody encountered an issue like this before or have any thoughts of what can be causing this problem? Thanks for any feedback.

Answer:

That easy one. First stop talking to your friends. Automatics don't have synchronizers .Now on to your problem. The delay is shift is most likely in the transmission. Next he car is still under warranty. Take it back to the dealer. to be fixed .Warranty will pay for it.
Well since your automatic doesn't have synchronizers and it doesn't have a fuel pump I'd say the shift solenoid would be a good guess.
