I'm joining the Army National guard and one of my choices is a 92G which is a cook and 21C which is a bridge crew memberWhat all does a 21C do? Is it a difficult MOS? I know all about 92G but is a 21C better and have a better work schedule if I go active Army? Do they deploy a lot? Please someone who is or was a 21C answerThanks

Bound's hubby here: For all practical purposes, I would have to say, NO, you can not fit a larger magazine on your 700 BDL A couple of years ago, a kit was made for the Win M70, to change the floor plate and trigger guard assembly, which allowed the use of M14 magazinesThat kit sold for about $165, if I remember correctlyI never saw it made available for the Remington 700WHat you are suggesting would require a custom fabrication of a trigger guard assembly and floor plate that would accommodate the BAR magazine(You would have to find magazines that would accommodate the .30-06) What you can do, is: a) If you want an extra round in the magazine, file down the feet on the shell follower to add a roundb) If you want to facilitate a rapid reload, either have a stripper clip guide milled into the receiver, or get a stripper clip guide from Mo's Competition Supply (in Ct.)c) Purchase an M1903 Springfield or a P17 Lee Enfield from the CMP for $450(see link below) Good Luck!
Are you looking for a higher capacity Magazine or are you looking to re-chamber your 700 Action to a larger caliber? Yes you can get a larger magazineYes you can re-chamber to a higher caliber but you cannot go down in caliber size.
