Can you? Sure. But be aware of thisif you find yourself cranking the amp up to the point of distortion, it's still possible to damage the speakers. Distorted signals are basically square wavesspeakers (and especially the voice coil) don't like those because they really heat the speaker up.
Yes. It works a whole lot better than trying to use 60 watt speakers with an 1800 watt Powered mixer :-)
