Question:

all wheel drive?

what is the different between all wheel drive and 4wd vehicle?

Answer:

Take the vehicle to an auto parts store and get the codes read.write them down and repost!
Have the OBDII code checked for free at most major auto parts stores. Anything could be wrong. Obey the light then we can offer something.
In addition to the above answers; AWD always has a center differential, 4WD may or may not have a center diff, if it does not you cannot engage 4WD on dry pavement as you would cause the drive line to bind.
AWD generally operates all the time with no low or high gearing options. While 4WD is basically an SUV term, associated with off-road use, AWD is a car/wagon/minivan term that means traction improvement for performance or bad weather reasons. I own an AWD GMC Sierra Denali full size pickup also equipped with 4-wheel steering.
4 wheel drive is 4 wheels going when you put into 4 wheel drive. All wheel is all wheels all the time.
