You've already learned that fiber is part of our dietThere are two possibilitiesSome people receive a signal from the digestive system after eating that it is time to get rid of solid wasteOrdinarily people this occurs with are regular weight or thinThe other possibility is that your digestive system is working very slowly and filling the stomach pushes food and waste all the way throughIf this is the case it is very unhealthyIt is normal for the stomach to empty completely in 5-6 hours so there is plenty of room for new food/energyThe average adult American has eight meals in their digestive systemFive more than they shouldSo even though you are young that could be part of the problemTry to add lots of fiber to your diet starting with a high fiber breakfast cereal of 20% of RDA of fiberOr oatmealThis will kick start the metabolism and hopefully move your only bowel movements to the morningSearch high fiber foods and eat thoseGood luck.
