Question:

antique chair?

I have a single chair that has been in the family forever. There is a piece of paper glued to the bottom indicating it was produced sometime around 1750. the name Armstrong is stamped into the bottom of the chair. I am looking for any information on this particular chair or manufacturer.

Answer:

is it African wood? Is it upholstered?? If so, it could be worth about $500+ depending on the condition - try eBay or goggle to see if you can find any antique dealers, or call your local antique shops, If it's an Armstrong chair, it's worth something - if the paper is a signature, it's probably made by the craftsman whose name was Armstrong - Is it a scrolly stamp?
