Any info on aftermarket kits for getting more heat out of a pre-1998 VW Beetle?
The most effective is a gas heater. There are still some around but they have to be in good repair or they can be quite a fire hazard. The factory heat exchangers off the exhaust system work pretty good if everything is sealed well and the pan isn't rusted out. There are helper fans that can enhance that system.
