Question:

Best way to connect two car sterio wiring harnesses together?

I need to connect the wires from the harness that comes out of the back of the aftermarket radio to the wires on the harness adapter that connects to my factory harness. What is the best way to connect them? Should I use butt connectors? Should I use Crimp connectors? Should I use old fashioned Electrical tape? Is there a way to connect the wires from the back of the aftermarket radio strait into the harness adapter?

Answer:

use heat shrink butt connectors, and don't go cheap use a good pair of wire crimpers if you want your connections to last
The silver ingredient is in simple terms tinned so as which you will perceive the wiring polarity greater truthfully. Electrically there is not any distinction, and you're able to use the two one as long as you're consistent with all your wiring. maximum professional installers could elect to apply the copper by using fact the constructive cord.
I use electric tape. It holds up the best and can moved easier in tight situations. I would tape each wire connection tight and then tape all the connections together at the end. This will ensure the wires do not come apart.
umm i would say butt connectors are the best to use since its clean and simple!
