FewYou basically get 13Gb of usable storage out of 16Gb because 3Gb is for OS. 13Gb storage is still plenty for what you need. You can store over 200 songs, over 1000's books and over 10 movies in that space. Apps take about 1-2Gb. But if you want some game like Max payne than you would need 2Gb alone for that game.
When someone gets fired, or it appears he is being fired, you keep out of it. While he may be your friend and if you want to discuss it outside the job and when you are off the clock, fine, but in the work place, speaking about it is a big no-no.
