Question:

Boiler problem ): please help?

We don't have hot water at all, in the faucets or shower just freezing cold water. What could be a problem with our new boiler?

Answer:

You have a new boiler? You never mentioned a water heater so I am going to assume you have a boiler with on demand hot water, or a superstore. Well do you have heat? If not then your boiler is not firing and needs service. If you have heat but no water: your mixing valve may be defective, or if you have an indirect storage tank, the pump may be air bound or not working. The thermostat on the tank could be bad, a check valve may be stuck open. Its hard to say with the limited information you gave us. If you can try updating your question. Add the type of fuel, type of heater, make, model, and anything else related to your hot water. What happens on the boiler when you run hot water?
If the boiler is NEW, like in just installed call the contractor who installed it. There are too many things it COULD be and very little that a homeowner can repair. Instead of making suggestions about what it MIGHT be, call your contractor or if you have Natural gas call the gas company. You can have most licensed heating contractors check it out for you as well.
