Question:

My hot water oil boiler doesnt heat every baseboard?

i have a hot water oil boiler to heat my house and the boiler sends hot water to every baseboard execpt for 1 on the 2nd floor. If i try to bleed it just cold water comes out and eventually hot water will come through but once the heater shuts off no more water comes through. i dont know what to do, already tried to get someone to come out here. help pleasethanks

Answer:

Hi. I don't want to insult your intelligence. But there is a proper way to bleed. a hydronic system. First, you must turn off the return line to the boiler. Then attach a hose to the Sill cock then open the system and let the water flow into a bucket until you see no more air bubbles. Then close the sill cock open the return line. You should notice that the pipe coming from the boiler is considerably hotter if not, repeat this procedure until no more bubbles appear in the bucket of water. Good luck
