Only for four feet- from the front of my garage to the back of it. Have to put it in gear with my hands (first gear is one up). Are you nuts? There is only one form of appropriate footwear on a motorcycle- BOOTS with non-skid soles.
I would put the CM detector nearest the vent in the room you spend the most time in. Like in my house the outlet is above the vent in my bedroom, so thats where mine is. As far as the smoke detector you should try and have one for each halway on each floor. I would put the other two one in your livingroom and one ni the back. The fire fighter idea is good too, they have that kind of program in our neighborhood, where they wikll come out and help you.
I love going barefoot, do almost everything barefoot and I'm always telling people that feet are much tougher than most people who rarely go barefoot would think -glass or thorns aren't any problem when you regularly go barefoot. But I still wouldn't ride a motorcycle barefoot. Since I *really* hate footwear (and I'd hate wearing a helmet too; I dislike all thick, restrictive gear!) this means I stick to cars, bicycles, walking and other methods of transportation where you don't need so much safety clothing. But if I didn't have any other choice and had to ride a motorcycle to get somewhere really important, I'd wear boots and helmet.
No way, that is just as bad as riding in heals or flip flops (yes you people know who) you don't want to even ride bare foot
