Question:

can anyone help me with my car?

I have a 1991 Lincoln Town Car and the air bags on the back need inflated for the ride suspension how and where on this car can I do this?

Answer:

SInce your car is a 1991, I would crawl under it and check the hoses. There is a compressor that automatically load levels the car and possible a sensor is out. I am sure any shade tree mechanic can cut the hose and splice on a valve so you can fill them. You can also take it to a tire shop or a muffler shop cause they do suspensions also, and you can probly get it checked for free. If you decide to take it in to adealer, carry a pocket full of $$$$$$, cause I am sure that will not be cheap!!!
Rear Air Suspension System Your vehicle is equipped with an automatic load leveling rear air suspension system. This system maintains the rear vehicle height at a constant level by automatically adding air or releasing air from the rear air springs to offset changes in vehicle loads. A shutoff switch is located in the trunk on the right hand vertical trim panel. If this switch is in the OFF position, the automatic leveling system will not operate. The switch should be OFF whenever hoisting, towing or jacking up the vehicle. “CHECK AIR SUSPENSION” will appear in the message center when the ignition switch is in the ON position, and either the shutoff switch is in the OFF position, or a system fault has been detected. Normal vehicle operation does not require any action by the driver.
I read over the answers and I was so surprised no one said to convert the system to standard springs. I would not spend the money on a 1991 car to have the air suspension system fixed unless it was a really low mileage all original car. There are kits that a mechanic can install which would replace all the air suspension components with conventional coil springs and you won't have to be bothered again.
That would be classified.
