Question:

can mice have yarn in their cage?

i just got two mice and they wont go to the lower level so im afriad theyre too cold so i want to put yean so they can snuggle in it

Answer:

Fans! But you might want to get that ac checked! It should not be running not stop without cooling the room.
If it is a rental, discuss the problem with the landlord and have him get a new ac unitMake sure you place the unit in the appropriate location in the room to allow for comfortIf you own this place, it sounds like you either need to have someone look at the ac unit and/or buy another oneDepending on where you live, there should be some good sales going on pretty soon.
I breed mice and what i have in their beds is; about 3/4 inch thick of woodshavngs, And then a small amount of hay - a fist full is plenty, a ballo f shredded paper, a few cardboard tubes - from toilet paper/kitchen roll, and in the winter i use some hamster fluff- paper based hamster bedding from any petshopYou CANNOT use that fluff if you are having babies as they get tangled up in it and can loose limbsSmall amounts of yarn - like for knitting etc should be fine, they like to make their nests from different things, our mice love using left over crepe packing paper that ive put throught he shredder.
install a window a/c unit
