Question:

Can some water ruin my bearings?

i know a lot will make them rust, but some? i was going to the store and there was a puddle, like 1inch deep, i thought it was less than that but apparently it wasn't. so are my bearings ******?

Answer:

No, think about the bearings on a boat trailer that is driven into the water all the time. Water is not going to hurt them.
just so y'all know, i meant longboard bearings... but i don't blame you guys. this site just straight said **** YOU *****!! LOL!. so yeah, my bad for wasting your time. but then again you probably didn't have **** to do. i would've stopped in my tracks and said this ***** dumb... especially if i thought he was talking about CAR BEARINGS. you a dumb ***** if you worry about car bearngs getting rusted...
One inch of water will never ruin a truck or car wheel bearing.
Wheel bearings are shielded, oiled and in many cases high density plastic. Driving through a puddle is trivial.
Where live it rains on average every 2nd day. imagine how many wheel bearings I must go through. Actually I think I have had to replace exactly two over the last 30 years. So it's safe to assume that car wheel bearings are designed to handle a bit of water.
