Question:

can the xbox 360 play and charge kit charge AA batteries?

i just bought rechargeable AA batteries, and my xbox 360 controller will not power on. am i doing something wrong? does the play and charge kit work for rechargeable AA batteries? and the kit does work because i have a battery pack. but the pack lost its power.

Answer:

The play and charge kit does die out fast but it wont die permanently. The cord is short about 4 to 5 feet.
Just recharge the pack. You can play while it's charging. that's why it's called the Play n charge kit. As far as the AA batteries, even though they are rechargeable batteries, I would think that it wouldn't. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. Play for about an hour or so with the rechargeable battery pack in, and plugged into the cord, and you're good to go. Wait for the light on the cord to turn green, and you're fully charged, all while you played. Isn't that cool?
No. It recharges the battery pack that comes with it. You need a charger pack made for whatever brand of batteries you bought if you want to use those. Otherwise put the charger battery pack in your controller and then hook up the Play and Charge cord.
