Question:

Can you over-dye commercial yarn with Kool Aid?

The yarn that I would like to dye is a merino blend and it is currently a very light color.

Answer:

Yes, you can, so long as it's animal fibre(Also, superwash wool can have iffy results with koolaid.suggest dip dyeing if it's a superwash)You generally get normal overdying results.ie blended colors or darker colorsI would do a test piece to check my color before dyeing the whole lot.
Dear Rick, You did not say if you are using a std GM chevrolet blockYou will need to know the cam lobe ctrgap distances, (gap between the lobes) or distance between lifter bores vsactual contact at the rocker arms, there is certainly going to be an issue with pushrod angle on this and that will ultimately determine placment of componets and valve angles in the cylhdHow long have you been in school Rick? If you want more on the ins and outs of engineering pls feel free to email meKeep in mind there is much much more to this then jist the idea as I'm sure you know by now my friend, it's ALL in the MATH!!!!!! If you really want a project to impress all email me and just ask meEvr heard of apapture throtle body SPFI? I've got all the plans and did this at least ten yrs agoI'd be happy to show you how to go from 15% flow blockage to component ratio to 0% and improve flow dynamics about 40%! All you have to do is ask good luck
