Question:

Chevy aveo windshield wipers?

my 05 chevy aveo‘s windshield wipers have always jumped of the window while driving at high speeds (like highway speeds) when they were on. Now they are missing an increasingly large amount of the middle of the windshield whille they are on. I was debating on repacing the drivers side arm, but will it make a difference since it always did it a little? The only place I can get the replacement part is at the dealers, so won‘t it be the same part as before?

Answer:

You can buy replacement blades that are designed to stay flat on the glass. No need to go to the dealer, you can find them at Walmart or any auto parts store. Look for Bosch wiper blades. Their Excel or Evolution blades are excellent and should not lift off at highway speeds.
u can get replacement arms from any decent parts store. u can buy aftermarket universal high tension springswhich would increase tension and should hold wiper down. u can buy aerodynamic wiper blades.which are contoured to work as air foils and stay on ur windshield.first ones were designed for autobahn use at speeds up to 250mph
Always on the front of the car for front wheel drive
Go to your local auto supply store and ask for windshield wiper pressure springs. They clip on and force the wiper down onto the windshield tighter. I had the same problem and it's now gone.
