Funny you should askI was just saying to my son this evening that the walls really aren't the most important part of the house to insulateThe cost depends on whether the house is existing or new constructionThere are three types of material that can be blown into the walls - Fiberglass (yes, the same material they put in overhead CAN be blown into the walls), although I wouldn't recommend itCellulose and then Spray FoamTo make sure you're not paying too much, get several quotes from different companiesThe last I knew, insulation companies are very competitive and will cut a deal If the house is already existing, I always recommend taking the drywall off to ensure best coverageSee the answer given aboveObstacles in the wall will prevent proper installation.
