Question:

Dealership fixed my axle that broke my transmission?

I bought a used car from a dealership early this year. 2 months down the road my axle went bad. They fixed it for free because i was covered under my 3 star plus by warranty solutions. That is the warranty i bought from them. Well, i deployed and am still currently deployed and 6 months months in the people holding my car went and had my clutch replaced. The guy who fixed it said that the axle put a hole (1 in in diameter) in my transmission. The guy called the dealership and explained but they had told him because it has been 6 months they aren‘t paying for it. Correct me if i am wrong, 1) Transmission is covered in my warranty. 2) If they broke it due to a poor fix, they‘re liable.

Answer:

The only thing that makes sense to me is that the hole was made when the old axle broke. It may have gotten jambed up against the trans and caused damage. They should have seen that when they fixed the axle. I don't understand how the new one could cause a hole. I would have them give them a detailed explanation with regard to the hole and axle. Also, warranties are full of loopholes. See if you can get a copy of the agreement and look it over. Good luck.
Just go back and have them flash your vehicle, and if that doesn't work sue them for all they have. if you're driving a ford however, don't. if it's a chevy, sue them. or a chrystler. NO ONE LIKES CHRYSTLER. ok? ok. ok. okk. FORD DA WERLD
