Question:

do cold air intakes really do what they say?

so do cold air intakes really do what they say? the basic claims are small horse power gain 1-5 and better gas mileage and better throttle response i hear and read people say they do work they don‘t so much i just really wanna know what the real deal is before i buy one can anyone help me out?

Answer:

The one really true thing about *aftermarket cold air intake systems is the price you pay for them. Why would you spend hard earned money for something your car comes from the factory with? Follow the outside air intake tube that fastens to the plastic air filter box. It's neatly tucked up under the left front fender inside the plastic fender well. If you want a free flowing high performance air cleaner KN makes one that will fit inside your present plastic air cleaner housing.
It really depends on the car you have and the engine it like having an hd television without the hd cable kind of pointless.
