Question:

Do I need a freon charge in my HVAC?

It cools for a while but then the A coil gets covered in ice and I have to run just the fan till it thaws out. Then it cools again till it freezes again. I had a new thermostat installed a couple of months ago. I have to have freon charge every couple of years due to a small leak in the lines. My HVAC guy said it's cheaper to recharge every few years than to pay him by the hour to find a tiny leak. Does that sound right? It's a 3 ton electric split unit.

Answer:

It could be that somewhere your electric line is broken and it leaking into the wall studs. It could be a staple or a nail piercing the electrical line and is sending current into the wall. It won't hurt you unless you are grounded. It is most likely from poor workmanship from the electrician or as I call it, Damn do it yourselfer's. Some things need the pros's touch.
Music has an influence, end of lesson. How much is debatable. Look at the furore over 'Rock Roll' in the 50's. How many kids got drunk and had sex because of that? Then again, how many did ecstasy and the rest because of House music? Maybe kids just need an excuse to rebel. There is rebel rap out there that sells a good message, but does it work? There are heavy metal Christian bands too. Seeing a group of kids headbanging to Christian lyrics is somewhat unusual, but it happens. So no, I don't think rap music has a negative influence, but most of it seems to have anti-social connotations. How much kids are influnced by it is more to do with their level of awareness, upbringing and social responsibility. The culture surrounding it is another matter, but that is not a sypmtom of rap, rather the other way around.
They are called fire hydrants. Firefighters use them as a source of water to fight fires. The fire hose is connected to the fire hydrant. They have to be located all over town in order to have water available when needed for an emergency. I agree. A fire hydrant looks like a little man wearing some sort of cap. It almost looks like a little firefighter.
