Does aluminum foil emit any harmful gases/vapors when in contact with fire?

Aluminum is coated with aluminum oxide by natural oxidationTheoretically when heated this cannot decompse to give any gas besides oxygenHowever I am not sure if it can burn to release carbon monoxide - but I very much doubt this.
