Does my 2006 Sonata have struts or shocks on the rear end of its suspension system?

It's a shock absorber, not a McPherson strut. The top of the shock bolts into a bumper/mount bracket with a dust boot at the top and slips over a stud on the rear suspension with a conventional eye at the bottom. Since it doesn't have a spring over it you don't need a strut tool to change them.
