Question:

Fallout New Vegas - I'm trying to return to MrHouse once I have the chip, but the elevator won't openWhy?

I have the platinum chip, just killed Benny, spoke to Yes-Man, and want to go to MrHouse to decide how to continueBoone is my companion but he waits outsideI can't initiate a dialogue with Victor by the elevator nor activate the elevator itself, it's like I'm stuck in the Lucky 38 lobby with no way to go upHelp!

Answer:

i would try and go to a different location and save then turn off system and go back to lucky 38and make boone wait outside of the building and talk to victor and he will say where to pardner?: click on penthouse and look for the guy on a big grreen screen or just try loading to a previous saved file and doing what i told you
Cliff, he said frame mounts, not engine block mounts clamshells The frame part of engine mount is bolted on with 3 bolts and nuts per side You need to get engine out of way if it's still in place (you can lift it high enough with out fully removing it) Then you have to fight with getting to the bolts that holds mounts inIIRC they are 15mm bolt headsYou need alot of 3/8 drive extensions, wobble joints and some wrenchsI even heated and bent one box end wrench to aangle I needed for doing this Keep you some axle/wheel bearing grease handy to put on wrench/socket to hold nuts will you wizzle them through K member You need to hold one side as you turn the other sideIt's best to have a helper when doing this.
Chevys are notorious for their valve guides and seals wearing outThe smoke is the signal they are going badIt is also possible that the oil return hols in the heads are plugged up with sludge not allowing the oil to return to the crankshaftThe oil then builds up around the valve seals and migrates into the cylinders through worn seals and worn guidesNot seeing smoke while driving down the road is not un common even if you have rings going bad and smoke was coming out of both tail pipes in small amountsThe air turbulence around your tail pipes breaks up the smoke to where you can`t see it when you are drivingBottom line is you do need a qualified mechanic to properly diagnose your problemIt could be as serious as bad rings and valve guides or as simple as a faulty vacuum pod drawing oil into your intake manifold on start up .
