Question:

Fighter Controls?

I already understand how fighter pilots control roll, pitch, and power, but I'm not quite sure about yaw. I was wondering if any fighter pilots out there can tell me how rudders in a fighter are controlled (the way the pilot manipulates them).

Answer:

the ruder pedals controls yaw
Foot pedals manipulate the rudders on most aircraft (airline, fighter, prop). Pressing the right pedal in will yaw the plane right, and vice versa. As the right pedal is pushed forward, the left one will slide back. Older aircraft have a cable that runs from the pedals to the rudder to control it while newer aircraft have 'fly by wire'. The pedals in this case will be hooked to a computer which sends signals to a motor that will turn the rudder. Hope this is enough info!
