Question:

Ford F-250 exhaust system?

Where the dual exhausts connect with the catalytic converter the bolts are sheared off. The holes on the exhaust frame are clear, but the broken bolts in the cat. converter must have been welded on. What‘s the cheapest way to get the exhaust system running? Straight pipe from exhaust to muffler? Used cat converter? Or how do I get the broken bolts out of the cat converter?

Answer:

For a muffler shop this would be a normal repair. Just replace the cat and you're done. They sell aftermarket cats that are not that expensive.
Whith a cutting torch cut and drop the cat,and get whats called a test tube it's alot cheeper then a new cat.Get you some new flanges and throw the tube in there to replace the cat.I did to my 79 T/A.
Straight through instead of the cat is best, although nobody will make that installation for you because it is illegal. A good muffler shop should be able to weld up the existing cat to the exhaust pipe.
