Question:

Help for a project!?

I need to make an atom of the element aluminum for scienceI need to use 26 medium-sized foam balls for the nucleusI want to make it round, but its not workingHow do you make a good base to make the nucleus round? Also how do I make the nucleus round? Thanks!

Answer:

the nucleus is made up of protons and neutrons so aluminum has 13 protons and 13 neutrons just paint them different colours and glue them all togetherand then i forget how you figure out electrons but just use a clothes hanger and somehow attach them.
Have you replaced windows and doors? I know my house loses heat that wayIt might be expensive but it could save you in the long runTurn off the bedrooms you don't useThe house should be cool enough so that you need to wear a sweater to be comfortableGood Luck!
We set our heat at 62 when gone during the day and for the evening after bedtime and set it at 66-68 when we are homeI wear cuddle duds and a sweater in the winter to save on heatAlso, we put the clear plastic on the windows to keep heat in and cold outThat made a big difference last yearAlso change curtains and drapes to something heavier in the fall and winterWe do a lot of cooking with the oven in the winter and you would be surprised how nicely that heats up your homeLeave the oven door ajar after you turn it off to let the heat out into the kitchenI think the electric heaters would add to your utility costs rather than save money.
Hi, Sarah! I'm moving home to Sault SteMarie, Michigan next June and I can't wait to get thereI grew up in Traverse City on Grand Traverse Bay so I think I can probably help you:) Keep those extra rooms open for air flowThe more doors you close, the colder the house gets and the more energy your furnace puts outIf you want a smaller electric bill, don't use those space heaters unless you have to and if you DO, then please install CO2 detectors just in case Roll up some heavy towels or cloths and rest them along the bottom of entry doors and large windows at nightThis keeps the draft from those cold UP winds from bringing their chill insideFor curtains, use something long and heavy that goes far enough below the windows to keep those same drafts from blowing underThis autumn before the first snow flies, go get some paintable caulking and check the outside of your home, all of the windows, etc, for cracks that are going to let more cold air (or mice) into your homeFill those cracks with the caulking, let it set, and apply a second layer if it looks like it still needs itAlso gunny sacks around the base of an older house like that might helpAfter cooking meals in your stove, leave the oven door open while you eat and let that extra heat out into your houseThat's a couple of degrees that your furnace doesn't have to work to give you I hope this helpsIf you have more questions, please feel free to e-mail meI am very familiar with the region in which you live and I'm sure I can come up with more ideas than what I've listed aboveGo Wolverines! lolTake care:)
Air flow? Are you serious? Just use the one room eg: the kitchen and that's itUse plenty of blankets in the bedroomWhile you are gone I'd have it OFFBut it depends if you really need to save or are just half talking about it.
