First, you will need a glass container that can receive about 6 ounces of water ( sulphuric acid) then you need 2 sheets of copper and two of zinc, attach one wire to one sheet of zinc and other to the plate of copper, submerge, (carefully now) into sulphuric acid diluted with one half of water (careful, when you dilute it, pour it VERY slowly the acid into the water) Alternate the plates Zinc-copper.zonc copper, leaving in the ends, the ones you already attached the wires to.(preferably insulated commercial electric wires, or leftovers of some gousehold apliance that will not be used anymore. Check the tips of both yhe wires you have (one attached to zinc, the other to copper) and voila.You have a barrery. (or two cells of a battery to be precise) good enough to light a lantern make move the small motor of some discarded toy etc. Good luck Careful when you handle the sulphuric acid,,,,,you can keep it in a recipient made of glass, but you cant touch itCareful.
