Question:

How can I dissolve or get rid of this foam insulation around the wiring in my home so I can run new/ more wire?

I'm running new wires from my second floor down to the basement, right between the brick siding and the wood frameThe previous owner has the basement cavity that the wires are coming through filled with spray foam insulationI've been standing on my toes for 15 minutes trying to dig this suprisingly tough foam out of this crevice so I cn move the wiresWhats the best way to get rid of this foam? I know acetone dissolves foam but it's also flammableAny ideas?

Answer:

Any chemical used to dissolve the foam could potentially damage the insulation of the existing wiresWorking the foam out by hand is really the only option.
yeah u can u can also do it with salmon but its the best idea to cook it on a grilling pan
sure it can be done, the classic term for this type of cooking method is called en papiotte, literally meaning in paperbut foil works to,usually reserved for fish but anything will do.try using, onions ,garlic, rosemary, thyme of course salt and pepper, even a little worchestershire is goodhave fun
