Question:

how cars work help please?

hi, i know how basic things work but how does an anti-roll bar help and what does a limited slip differential do, and abs and how does the power from the crankshaft get translated to the front wheels or into the back from the propshaft, i am guessing it is a collection of axles but i dont know. any other interesting and helpful things?

Answer:

The key is two fold first there can be no running water inside the pipe it will never stick. Second you need to use flux. The flux is just drawn into the joint between the two pipes from heat. Once a good coating is made heat the pipes at the joint and then after they are hot enough to melt solder remove the torch and touch the solder to the joint. like magic it will suck in and a firm bond results. Turn on your water and check your work. For what it is worth PVC is a lot easier and far less expensive. Good Luck
Heat the pipe not the solder. Hold the solder on the hot pipe.
Anti-roll bay is known more commonly as a sway bar, And prevents body roll or swaying as it drives, Its connected to the suspension system in a way to do this, google search for a diagram to get an idea of how It works. A limited slip differential is makes both wheels turn at the same rate at the same time, So it limits slip, This is done most commonly with clutch plates in the diff, But can also be done by throwing bolts into the diff and welding them up, That is a dodgy way of doing it and I don't recommend it. Again power transfer is by gears, look up a diagram of a gear box or Diff, and you will easily see how it works. ABS is anti braking system, Pretty much if you need to avoid an accident and you jam on the brakes, the wheels are gonna lock up and your gonna skid, with no control over the vehicle, The way ABS works is by releasing the brakes on and off when it senses them locking up, this way you can bring the car to a controlled stop safely. You'll notice if you brake hard you'll feel a shuddering, this is normal in an ABS fitted vehicle and means that the system is working. Cars are fairly simple to understand basically, only when you need to fix them do they get complex, google is the best source for any info really.
Anti Roll bar prevents the roof from collapsing and crushing you in the event of a roll over.
Too many questions to answer here. Why don't you read a good (basic) manual or consult some web sites and then come back with one or two specific questions at a time. That's the best way to get some help.
