Question:

specral reflectance curve question?

how do spectral reflectance curve graphs for various surface materials (e.g. vegetation, soil, etc.) help in selecting the best wavelength ranges for a particular application?

Answer:

It depends on how non-reflective the material is. If it's a material that simply absorbs all or most of the light incident on it, it will just become dark without reflecting anything. If the material transmits some light and absorbs some, then the mirror will still become darker, but it will still reflect some (as though it had been tinted).
Why do you care. Keep your head down and mouth close, get a C or better and move on to the next semester.
