Question:

How does one service the suspension system in a car?

What should one look for in suspension problems and which are the common problems with car suspensions? How often should one replace the parts and what are the most costly suspension part replacements?

Answer:

shocks eventually have to be replaced-- rubber bushings can become brittle and crack and need to be replaced. Ball joints can wear out,--those are the most common as to when it depends on how you drive and conditions you drive in.
Look for busings pushout , metalflake aroutd working parts , busted boots , make sure that you can lub everything , check upper and lower ball jounts ,make sure that the bearings r tight for the wheels.
you realy dont service suspension parts .you keep them clean and free from dirt but have them replaced if needed.auto shop will advise you if they need replaced broken spring etc etc etc. ok
