Question:

How far can I lift a 2002 grand cherokee laredo.?

I want to use coil spring spacers, but I dont want to fiddle with steering geometry and such.

Answer:

You only going to lift the front? Spring spacers will get you 2.5 if you get the 2.5 lift spacer. But it's just as much work as new springs.
I've been researching the same thing. The best bang for the buck is the BB (budget boust) 2 kits ($100). You can put on 265/70r16's (not 265/75r16). Do not exceed 31 diameter or you will bend metal. I am going with a 255/70r16 BFG A/T which is a 30x10 tire. Get an alignment after you put on the hockey pucks. If you want to go bigger, the price jumps to about $1K+ including lift kit, shocks, etc.
Spring spacer will mess with steering. Old Man Emu suspension systems web site. Probably the best source for what you will need. Suspension lift you'll need a small step ladder to get into the truck and can use 36 tires. Rancho shocks steering dampers you have Dollars? You will use them!
