Question:

how is heat energy used in society?

how is heat energy used in society?

Answer:

By society, I assume you mean any society on Earth. Iceland is perhaps the best example of a country who has harnessed the power of geothermal energy - to heat homes, grow crops, etc. In the U.S., thermal desorpotion is used to remove VOCs from contaminated soil. Heat exchangers turn water to steam to power turbines. Waste heat is recycled so that less energy is required to reheat it. These are just a few examples. I could go on and on...
we cook food with it we make electricity with it.
