how to add a heatpump to a home boiler?

how to add a heatpump to a home boiler?

Answer:

never heard of doing that, heat pumps only create a small amount of heat. would take forever to heat a central hot water system, one time they were pushing a hp system that could heat hot water tank with heat from house in the air conditioning mode
Home Depot: Good luck, they'll look at you like you have 2 heads. Are you trying to supplement the boiler or replace the boiler?
I think you need to add more information to this question. I have never heard of adding a heat pump to a boiler. Do you use a boiler to heat your house? If you use a boiler to heat your house then you have an air handler somewhere. This takes the radiant heat that comes off of the coiled pipes and pushes it into the house. If you are wanting to add a heat pump to that equation then it is possible. However I think you should let a pro do it. You have many conditions to consider, airflow, location and distance of indoor coil to outdoor coil, wiring, poss new t-stat. This is not a DIY project.
with all honesty... i would go to my local hardware store and expain the question.... (home depot) It would be better to get the answer from some one who workes with this kind of job
