Question:

how to incubate turtle eggs?

my female RES just laid eggs. i want to make an incubator box. I've prepared a plastic box with less than 12 holes. filled with 2-inches of vermiculite. The prob is, should i put the eggs on the surface of the vermiculite or bury the eggs inside it? after putting them in it, should i put a cover on it? and how can i keep the vermiculite moist?

Answer:

Your roof need vents right in the actual roof which should have been done when the new roof was installed. Now you should consult with a heating/ventilation company for more info. You can add blown in insulation to your attic floor.
