Answer:

That my friend is a very good question I can only assume it s because it s found more abundantly in the upper cust naturally and gets pushed up due to tectonic plate activity when mountains are formed.
You might be able to use aluminum foil to get the shape you want the membrane to be, so use that as your moldYou may want to line to foil with plastic wrap to make it easier to get the wax out without breaking itYou'll also have to make the wax thick enough so that it's not going to shatter when you pull the foil/plastic wrap off of it when it has hardenedAlso, when you melt your wax, make sure you use a double boilerThis means to get a large pan, put some water in it, and use a smaller, OLD, NOT YOUR BEST PAN, to put the wax intoOnce the water in the large pan is boiling or close to it, put the wax into the smaller pan and set this pan into the hot waterBe careful not to spill wax on the stove, or else this could start a fire Also, don't heat the wax any longer than is necessary to liquefy it When you've finished melting your wax and are cleaning up, KEEP IT AWAY FROM THE SINK-this will cause a clog that you will never get outNow put the pan into the freezer and let it get coldYou don't have to empty out the leftover wax first-it will be easier to get out if there's more rather than lessTake it out, whack the whole pan on a sidewalk or hard surface (but not your mom's ceramic tile-if you crack her tile she will kick your butt)This whack ought to break up the wax enough to break it out of the panGood luck!
