Question:

How to remove Sharpie from plastic trading card sheets?

The ink on the sheets has been there for 5 years and they have been sitting in a very hot garage so I'm sure that is the reason why it doesn't come off. I have tried nail polish remover, WD-40, bleach, soap and water, rubbing alcohol, body spray, vinegar, hair spray, and even liquid sandpaper and only the nail polish remover affected it but only very little, it just made the ink a bit more transparent but it didn't remove it completely. Is there anyway to remove the ink completely

Answer:

I've had a lot of success removing permanent marker off of plastic with Staedler white erasers. Depending on how fragile the plastic is (sorry - I don't know much about trading cards!) it might be tricky. Also, if the plastic is at all rough or porous it probably won't work well either. I'm military, however, and we use permanent marker to mark laminated maps, and erasers when we need to change the markings...and this sounds like it could be a similar situation. Good luck!
try a dry eraser marker, go over the other marker then erase
