Question:

Prevent Oven Smoke?

I cooked Lasagna for Easter it came out great but the sauce must have boiled over the edge of the glass baking dish, filling my apartment with an awful smoke smell. How could I have avoided this? I could have laid out aluminum foil underneath but was concerned I would mess up the oven air flow.

Answer:

As the chicken bakes, steam is releasedThe foil holds the steam in which actually steams and bakes the meat making it very tender and juicyYou usually take the foil off the last 15 minutes or so to brown the outside.

You should have placed it on a sheet pan or the foil would have been ok( directly under the the baking dish)Now get out the Easy Off and get the oven clean or it will smoke the next time you cook something.
