Question:

I have a 1980 ford mustang v6 and need help? aluminum foil tube is not connect to anything?

I bought this car the other day for a cheap price it runs strong I was just wondering hat is the aluminum foil tube that is connect to nothing? Is it supposed to be like that? Thanks Patrick

Answer:

Simply, once you have compressed the mix into the mold and remove the insert, your only concern at that point is drying the paper, SO, either use a HEAT Lamp, a Heat Gun, or an Oven, providing the mold is of metal so it wont burn in the oven, but you would not make it that hot anyway, just dry slowly.
Are you refering to the flex tube on the underside of the air cleaner bonnet? That just goes to the heat exchanger on the side of the exhaust manifoldShould be a collar there to put it onIf the hose is damaged pick up a new one at the parts storeOr are you refering to one of the heat riser tubes on the exhaust manifold? PS: Sure it isn't a 1967 with a 302 like some other idiot here the other day claimed?
