Question:

Help with windshield wiper stick!!!?

I have a 1998 Nissan Altima. Recently the Windshield wiper stick on the inside of the car came out of the socket. I really need it fixed and don‘t have the money to do that. Can anyone please help me? I would appreciate it sooo much. Thanks!!

Answer:

To be more precise do you mean that the arm just came off the stud? If so then with most vehicles you simply push it back on making sure that the arm is lined up correctly to the windshield. *Update* if you are talking about the windshield washer switch then be more precise of how it came off. Did it actually break? If so then it will have to be replaced. I found it on AutoZone's website for about 70 dollars. From the looks of it though it may have a bracket it connects into so make sure to give a thorough check to make exactly sure if its broke or just out of place.
if the rod came off the motor then just pop it back on.
If you mean the control stick used to control the wipers on the side of the steering wheel, it is usually just a matter of plugging the wire harness back in, since it is actually pretty hard for a wire harness to come undone, you may have broken the control stick itself, which will need to be replaced. This could be upwards of 100$ for the part alone, depending on how many different accessories were controlled by it. Hope this helps.
