Question:

I own old 94 Toyota corolla base sedan. Its still running but having some problems.Money to fix is too much?

I own old 94 Toyota corolla base sedan. It‘s still running but having some problems.Went to my mechanic to have it check. He says I need to change rear struts and also fix suspension system.Money he is asking to fix it way too much for me around more then $ 1000.Do you think this is reasonable charges or you can get it done for less or cheap?

Answer:

what is that guy talking about ?gas pedals ?i mean ya toyota have problems but still dosnt match the others, they have more issues,as for your suspention issue, the cheapist way is to by the parts yourself at a local parts store,if the car is old get the cheap parts then have a mechanic fix it,
put a new battery in it.mine went nuts with low batteryand also when very cold
I haven't heard of late models of 94 having gas pedal issues. I've only heard of cars from 2004 and up. That 1000 dollars better include alignment, and parts and labor. Chances are if you change ur suspension your alignment might get messed up in the process.
that's the problem, its with mostly Toyota's that have mechanical problems like the gas pedal being stuck to the floor and other. But dont get me wrong I still like the tocoma and land cruiser but its taking a risk. I would some how get your money from it and be done.
